Blackriver and Badgerecho

Blackriver was laying next to the small pond. She was staring into the pond at her reflextion and making circles in the water with her tail.

Badgerecho's dark grey pelt brushed through the grass as he padded along, his white muzzle nosing through bushes and past brambles. His dark amber orbs flitted around slowly. He needed to be here at the pond. Far away from the rest of his annoying Clanmates. A small sigh escaped him as he continued onward, freezing in his tracks as a scent drifted to him. A she-cat scent... From another Clan... She was close, too. He realized with a mental jolt. ||Oh great... An annoying she-cat...|| He thought, rolling his eyes.

Blackriver swirled her tail around in the water till she had a small whirl pool going, and she smiled. Then her nose picked up and unfamiliar scent. She yanked her tail out of the water and the smile dissapeared. She sat up quickly and wrapped her tail around her paws, giving her the cold look she had perfected. "Whose there?" she called out.

[Moonrise]

Badgerecho growled slightly hearing the harsh voice of the she-cat. "I could ask you the same thing!" He spat in annoyance, padding towards her scent. "But personally I couldn't care less who you are." He added as he came to a halt infront of the she-cat. Badgerecho flicked his ears away from her, slightly annoyed. His dark amber orbs slipped around the area then to the pond before focusing on her again with a cold glare.

"Blackriver," She said anyway. She glanced at the water then turned her peircing yellow eyes on Badgerecho. "I came here to get away from my clan, they seem to be so loud lately it's giving me a headache." She rolled her eyes and focused back on the water. "This is the only place i know of that's quiet." She said. Then she, unconsiously, slipped her silver black striped tail slipped back into the water.

Badgerecho narrowed his eyes slightly. "Shouldn't you be the ever loyal Clan cat? Off protecting your beloved Clan with your life?" he growled coldly. "I'm Badgerecho, I might add... And I too, am herew because of the noise of my Clan..." He grumbled, not sounding happy in the least.

"Well yeah that's what i'm supposed to be," She gave her shoulder a quick lick then focused on Badgerecho. "The ever faithful she-cat that will do whatever it takes to make her clan strong, which basically means that i get pregenent with some tom that i have a slight affection for so the clan has warriors." She growled slightly, then turned her attention to the waters edge. "Yeah, that's me..." her voice trailed off, ending on a tone that seemed distant and saddened. "Oh and welcome to the club." She added sarcasticly. "I come here every 5 or 6 days to get away."

Badgerecho nodded slowly. "Hm... so... I can tell... Just from the way you talk... You aren't a big fan of affection... Or getting pregnant, for that matter..." He meowed thoughtfully before sitting down and curling his tail neatly over his paws. He bent his head and licked his chest fur quickly before turning his amber orbs back to her. "Only every five days? ...I've been here a lot lately..." He responded softly.

"I can only get away every five days or so. I have two brothers that watch me like a hawk." She purred thinking of her two older brothers. "They mean well, just they sufficate me." She twiched her ears and looked at him. "And i wasn't implying that i'm cold, i just like to keep myself distant. I don't want to end up like my mother." She added the last part to herself as she laid herself down, her tail still in the water.

Badgerecho nodded slowly and thoughtfully. "You're lucky yo have such loving siblings... I personally don't know a single member of my family... So... I suppose that does mean I won't be a hurt when they pass away... But it also means a lot of my life is lonely..." He meowed, flicking his ears slightly, resentful at having even opened his mouth to talk. Now it was too late because he found himself wanting to stay instead of fleeing back to camp.

She smiled. "Well if you ever want a brother, you can have one of mine." Blackriver hoped she wasn't talking too much, she liked having him as company. He was easy to talk to and a good listener. "or a friend."

[Moonrise]

Badgerecho shrugged slightly. "Well... I'm none too sure that the other ThornClan cats would appreciate me bringing a..." He paused and sniffed slightly. "-MoonClan tom back to camp... No offense... I have nothing against any other Clan... But you know what the rivalries are like nowadays... I mean... They've always been strong... So... Oh you know what I mean." he meowed, twitching his tail tip.

[nightgaze]

"yeah i know," Her tail started to make the whirl pool again. "Still, that doesn't mean we can't keep each other company here." She hoped she hadn't said something that would frighten him off.

[Moonrise]

Badgerecho slowly nodded before laying down and looking around. "Agreeable." He mewoed, smirking slightly, his amber orbs dancing about them with more cheer than he would normally let show.

[nightgaze]

(orbs? as in eyes?) She crossed her front legs and looked into the pool, she smiled slightly at the small whirl pool she had created.
